The week that we have all been waiting for is officially here…SPRING BREAK!! We have been blessed with 5 full days of no school, yay! Whatever you plan on doing, make sure that is worth your while. For me, that means that I will get 7 to 9 hours of sleep for 5 consecutive nights in a row, and I am truly looking forward to it. I also plan on reading the book The Fault in Our Stars. I’ve had this book for a long time, but now I actually have time to finish it! I also want to jump start my physical wellness, so my goal is to start that during the break. I plan on doing yoga for an hour each day, running for 30 minutes, and drinking as much water as I possibly can. For those of you who are planning on traveling I wish you safe travels, and I hope you enjoy your trip! Whatever you do, make sure enjoy soaking up the sun, site seeing, and making new memories!

VACATION TIPS:

  • Remember to pack accordingly – think about how many days you are going to be on your trip, so you can pack enough clothes. Also, do not forget to bring important items such as medications, and a mini emergency kit!
  • SUNBLOCK! For those of you who are planning on soaking up the sun during this time, make sure that you bring plenty of sunblock. Reapply it every 2 hours! You should also consider wearing a beach hat for extra protection and style.
  • Hydrate – Remember to drink lots of water. Being on the beach or living up the night life can take a lot out of you, so drink one water for every alcoholic drink you have.
  • Have fun and be safe – Lastly, whether you are on the beach or lying in bed for 5 day make sure that you stay safe and have fun!! And don’t waste your money on condoms… get free ones on campus at Student Health Services, Center for Women and Gender Equity, and Wellness Promotion!
